Pre-War 7-String Demo

Tartu luthier Halvo Liivamägi, who among many other things has been maintaining the Roots guitar arsenal since 1996, recently renovated a pre-war 7-string guitar for a customer and needed a demo of its sound when finished - here it is, with a tuning that combines Spanish and Vestapol.

Thursday's Rakvere gig was wonderful - like Rakvere concerts tend to be. But just in case you were worried Mr. Roots is becoming all scholarly with the blues lectures and library gigs and all, Roots & Terep will be playing punk rock blues for two Saturdays in a row - the first one with Black River Bluesman & Bad Mood Hudson will take place at Pub Juudas in Tõrva on March 19th. The Finnish duo are on the road, promoting their new album "Moonshine Medicine" that includes two songs with lyrics written by Andres Roots. The upcoming vinyl compilation "Roots Music", celebrating Andres Roots' 40th birthday & 20th anniversary as a performing artist, is now available for downloading - a few weeks ahead of the LP release! That means iTunes, Amazon, Spotify etc.
