Augustibluus!

Announced last night, this year's Augustibluus Festival line-up in Haapsalu features Eric Gales, Duke Robillard, Micke & Lefty - and Tammepõld, Roots & Terep, who'll be taking the stage at the Railway Station on Saturday, August 5th.

Solo In Tartu & Tallinn

The Finnish gigs were a blast and the Ismo Haavisto Jubilee Orchestra will return towards the end of the month (watch out, Tampere!), but first there are two solo performances coming up in Estonia: a short set at Eesti Rahva Muuseum on Wednesday 15th and a full-length show at the Radisson Blue Sky Hotel on Monday 20th. The seats at the latter jazz club event are limited, so get your tickets here! :)

Golden Disc

Yesterday, the annual Estonian pop music awards ceremony Kuldne Plaat/Golden Disc took place at the Kadriorg Palace in Tallinn. One of the awards was presented by Vinyl Plant and went to the Andres Roots LP "Roots Music" as "Blues Album of the Year"! Gigs, Gigs, Gigs

The Ismo Haavisto Jubilee Tour will start in Messilä, Finland on March 11, but before that, Ismo & Andres will play a warm-up duo show at Hiidenkivi in Lahti on March 8. On March 15th, Andres will do an afternoon solo set at the Estonian National Museum in Tartu, Estonia, and on March 20, he will appear at the Radisson Blu's Lounge 24 for the Monday Jazz Club in Tallinn (seats are limited, so follow the link to secure yours!). And then the Haavisto tour resumes in Tampere on March 30...
