Live Footage!

Firstly, there are the two tracks performed live at ETV studios for the "Tähelaev" talk show with Volli Kalm, the new Rector of the University of Tartu - and a blues fan, it turns out! The show was aired yesterday, is streaming here, and there's a re-run scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15th. "Link To Elmore" starts roughly 26 minutes into the show and "Three Sticks" is at the very end - after one hour and nine minutes.

In addition - and thanks to Kadri Tiisel - we now have an abundance of live footage from some of this summer's best live shows. Here are two clips from Ugribluus in Tallinn:

Here's one from Augustibluus in Haapsalu:

And a particularly rare one from the acoustic private show the band played right after their Augustibluus performance:

Learn Slide Guitar With Andres Roots

Starting October 29th, Andres Roots will be teaching a practical 8x90 minute slide guitar course in Tartu with a focus on the open G tuning and the Blues. The classes will take place 7 p.m. Monday nights at the new Kitarrikool headquarters downtown (Küütri 14). No previous experience with the slide is required, but a general understanding of the instrument is; steel-string acoustic guitars can be rented on the spot for the duration of the course and a personal slide is a must from the second meeting onwards. The cost of the course is 125 euros - as a bonus, the price includes a year's subscription to Kitarr magazine for which Andres compiles the blues section. Registration details here.
