Scottish Tour & Blues in Britain

Last week's mini-tour of Scotland with Dave Arcari was a blast, with electric shows at The Glad Cafe in Glasgow and Leith Depot in Edinburgh and an acoustic night in at Memorial Hall in Milton of Buchanan - photos will be coming soon, but here's a video sample from that last gig, with Andres playing one of Dave's National guitars into an Ear Trumpet Labs microphone:

The tour landed Andres Roots on the cover of the March issue of Blues in Britain magazine, with another feature appearing in the UK's Blues Matters! and the American Bman's Blues Report calling the "Breakfast in September" album "a super display of finger picking and slide technique."

"Roots is possibly at his best armed with a resonator and bottleneck slide where his picking is never short of top-quality, zinging, rippling, and pushing the edges of true, pure, raw blues with an apparent self-assurance and ability," writes Iain Patience in Blues Matters!. "Never afraid to experiment and aim for innovation, Roots seems always to be turning out and delivering fresh blues with its own distinct innovative twist and purpose."

Next show: the Record Fair at the Red Emperor in Tallinn on Sunday, March 10 - showtime 1 p.m.!
