New Track & Tartu, Põlva, Kadrina Concerts

Friday, Sept. 1st saw the release of the last COVID blues recording from Andres Roots, Red Mouth and Jantso Jokelin - hear "Retirement Blues" below, see the full lyrics and/or buy the download on Bandcamp, and read more about it over at the Sound Cafe!

The weekend will bring three solo concerts from Andres Roots: on Thursday, September 7th he will appear alongside Detroit's Banjolectric at Kultuuriklubi Salong in Tartu - the music starts 18:00 and tickets are available HERE. On Friday, September 8th, Roots and Banjolectric will take the show to the Põlva Cultural Centre café - the music starts 20:00 and tickets are available HERE. 

And on Saturday, September 9th, Andres Roots and Finland's Black River Bluesman & Bad Mood Hudson will be holding court at Nostalgiakeskus Kadrina in Kadrina, wrapping up a full day of concerts and all kinds of events in town - the music starts 17:00 and there's no cover charge!!

 

  

Tartu This Friday

Gigs This Week

Andres Roots will play two shows this week: the "Mississippi to Loch Lomond" album launch will finally take place at Salong in Tartu on Friday and on Saturday, there's the Moosekants festival in Kadrina!

On July 11th, Andres Roots will appear at Aasa Riksi Õueblues in Palivere - the event formerly known as the Wild West Day. On July 13th, Andres will be a guest on Dave Arcari's Blues'n'2s livestream (8 p.m. UK time, 10 p.m. Estonian). On July 17th, there's the album launch in Salong's summer garden in Tartu, on July 18th the Moosekants festival in Kadrina, followed by the traditional Rooftop Concert in Haapsalu on the 25th and Pärnu Bluusipäevad on the 30th. New Album

The new live CD "Mississippi to Loch Lomond" will arrive in stores this Friday, March 6th and you can already order it from the CD Market and Lasering online stores. The first review is in - by Theo Volk, from the Netherlands and in Dutch, but with a little help from Google Translate, you can read it HERE!

The radio premiere was on Jeff Eaton's Blues Friday show on WXPR in Wisconsin on February 28 - click HERE for the programme and HERE for the playlist. In the UK, Richard Dunning's Blues on the Radio was the first to air a track from the album - click HERE to listen.

The album tour kicks off next week - Friday the 13th at Kultuuriklubi Salong in Tartu, Estonia, with very special guest Ismo Haavisto!
